Going to Ripple the World for Thurs breakfast? Check DailyActs.org for details

by In.Her.Own.Write

Again this year, we’ll be attending Ripple the World fundraising breakfast, this time 8am Thurs. Nov. 5th, at Petaluma Veteran’s Building. The beneficiary, Daily Acts, in case you’re unfamiliar(!) is an evolutionary do-gooder group that actually does good locally on global projects! Learn what sustainable living is and you’re part of the solution!

I know, we have a bunch of great non-profits here in our little River city – COTS for sure, Rebuilding Together, PEP Housing, Carousel Fund. They’re all great. Daily Acts is an also great – publishing the always useful and beautiful (sort of like our own, local SUN magazine)Ripples magazine, giving workshops that can change your life to way more green feelings and doings.

This last week, Daily Acts with Rebuilding Together relandscaped Petaluma City Hall! Earlier this year, they brought out a small army of volunteers to create a food garden around Cavanaugh Swim Center. Wow! If we’re going to meet the challenge of Sonoma County Climate Protection Campaign and seriously reduce our carbon footprint, surely Daily Acts will point the way.

And the breakfast itself is memorable, at least if they do as great a job this year. Inspirational speakers; great organic veggie breakfast free of charge – but they’ll capture your heart and get you to sign checks, so bring a check book. See you there? They’re taking a head count as we speak, so do sign up if you can.
