Greatly enjoyed the Local appeal of the Shollenberger Shindig at Lagunitas this week. Word about protecting our bird preserve from the impending POLLUTING proposed Dutra Asphalt plant was we need “MONEY and STICK IT OUT TILL THE BITTER END”. OK.
So upcoming is the annual fundraiser of another wonderful Sonoma group, Sonoma County Conservation Action (SCCA – you’re likely a member among thousands of other Petalumas?) SCCA cherishes our coast, watershed, land and community and does a lot to support a sustainable future through focus on key issues and elections.
This year, SCCA’s annual dinner is “Celebrating Coastal Protection,” something the group has done since its inception. The dinner happens at Sonoma Mountain Village, a fitting spot, being a coop-friendly cluster of meeting spaces in the middle of a huge field nearby Sonoma State U. Expect to love this dinner.
