Later today (5:30), Lynn Woolsey joins Jason Davies for a meet and greet at the Apple Box along the Petaluma River, part of the Great Mill, if for any reason you haven’t already eaten and lingered at the Apple Box (for me, its been 12 years).

Am looking forward to hearing Jason, Lynn, music, just being part of a campaign I feel has integrity, intelligence, high energy and ability to get things done. Jason has shown me he is idealistic, yet practical, can see possibilities where none existed (as in finding tenants for empty offices in town and finding sustainable solutions to our energy and other economic problems.) He’s a business owner with vision and willing to diligently do the hard work of being on Council.

Over the last year, I’ve gotten to know Jason Davies through co-hosting a District 2 Congressional Forum at our local/global PixelCorps Studios on Keller St. (see YouTube, CNCM, last Oct.), discussed the ethics and politics of Norman Solomon and all the candidates for the new Congressional District 2, now that Lynn Woolsey has announced her retirement after 20 years of representing us as District 6. All seem good people – and I wanted to share that politicians can be and often are, caring, smart, talented and dedicated to the common good.

So join me if you can – we’ll be setting up sound and taping for PCA, where Jason sits on the board. That’s actually how I began to know Jason. John Bertucci, Director of PCA, encouraged me to produce shows just as Jason was walking alongside at a Butter and Egg Days Parade. Now, on occasion, I film, Jason edits and one or another show appears on PCA. Good deal – as will be Jason on the Petaluma City Council.

Please join us for a meet and greet fundraiser with Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, music by Katie Freeman of the Incubators, special guests, and more at the Apple Box in Petaluma, Wednesday, 10/17/12 @ 5:30 PM

This is a public event – everyone is welcome. We are working to raise money for an important mailer and are suggesting minimum contributions of $20 per individual, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

There are many other ways you can help the campaign in these final weeks, so please come and learn more as we toast to our retiring Congresswoman and her support of our campaign! Working together WE WILL ensure a sustainable future for Petaluma!
