Still feel connected to Petaluma River after eleven years living along that muddy, sometimes gorgeous slough (while Wayne ran Jungle Vibes), adding my poem to the Voices of the River book of poems and photos gathered by Patti Trimble, attending meetings and potluck/singalongs and Rivertown Revival (coming up AGAIN Sat. July 20th, 11am-8pm – what a GREAT PARTY!) at River Heritage Center.

All that and I recall Into the Woods, the ecentric business along the River for years – didn’t know the guy, but he dragged some wonderful, twisty and grand chunks of wood near the willow tree, and evenings my son and I often used a couple of pieces for a teeter-totter. Sitting on the bank watching Mallard ducks and Canada Geese, one Goose becoming adopted by the Mallards. To see beauty in natural objects – just comes from looking.

Anyhoo, when at Aqus Cafe Wed. eve.w. Wayne waiting for John C (we’re hatching plans for our expanding community!), Faith Ross and friend were walking in for the jazz and we renewed our connection. She’s just been named President of the Petaluma Museum – and they’ve got a party on TONIGHT 6-10, $10 donation requested. Music, f&b offered at this opening evening. Two more programs running while the show is up.

Here’s what’s on Patch about this:
